Available for Windows, macOS and Linux. For Linux, I recommend to use the AppImage from the team, see their download page.

I use digiKam as my photo catalog manager and for other photo tasks. I also use some other photo tools, but digiKam is the center for my digital photo management.

How do you calibrate your monitor on Linux?

I use DisplayCAL, a GUI (and more) based on Argyll. And I use X11. Wayland appears troublesome for color management:

From Argyll I read:
"As a consequence there is little prospect of ArgyllCMS being able to support display calibration and profiling for Wayland.

So my current advice for people wanting to use a color managed display on Linux is to stick to X11."

Not only that it is a free and open source software (donations are welcome from us users) and available on "all" platforms (Linux, Windows and macOS). It is also a very competent software!

Now I've updated to the latest 8.1 release of digiKam. I will look more into my settings related to new features compared to 7.9 (I never upgraded to 8.0), and generally learn more about the new features.
