I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/

Microsoft Authenticator needs me to validate with Authenticator in order to log in with Authenticator to use it to authenticate another app with Authenticator.
Here is the app telling me to open itself to validate itself with itself.

My modified #PopOS is having a risky window system flaw where when a new window opens, sometimes the one underneath it retains focus... I've almost copy-pasted some stuff into a chat when it was supposed to go somewhere else.
My setup is really glitchy. I want to switch to something that works better, but I have so much config that might get lost... I think I'll hold out until #COSMICDE . At least until it works on #Nvidia + #Wayland !

One of mine is avoiding unnecessary consumer goods purchases.
This 10+ yo Miele vacuum broke at the handle. The man said too old for replacement parts, maybe buy new?
I didn't think so.
Some shaping, multi-purpose strong glue & a few winds of duct tape later—gobs of energy and plastic waste held off a few more years at least.
I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MS WINDOWS HAS THE SEND-TO-BACK WINDOW MANAGEMENT FEATURE
All this time, I could just press Alt+Esc and my window would be sent to the back! If only I knew this back when I was a Windows user.
What if Windows also has always-on-top?
