@david_chisnall Yes, I'm contradicting them by citing a dictionary (multiple, actually). Sometimes the most educated people make the silliest decisions. It doesn't matter who contradicts basic facts. How many different sets of reproductive organs do humans have? Two. If you say otherwise, you're forgetting your basic definitions.

"and concluded that the Earth if [sic] flat as well" No, the Earth is round :)

@CM30 For sure, at least the family dog (and yours too by the look of it :) ). Funnily enough, our dog is pitch black and still likes it in the sun. I guess all the warmth helps her relax.

@david_chisnall
"either of the two major forms of individuals that occur in many species and that are distinguished respectively as female or male especially on the basis of their reproductive organs and structures" ~~ Merriam Webster

"either of the two categories (male or female) into which most organisms are divided" ~~ WordNet 2006

etc.
I'm not even talking about issues of gender in a social sense, I'm talking about biological sex.

@david_chisnall Sex is explicitly defined as sex chromosome XX = female, and sex chromosome XY = male. I kind of get how people can get confused on the issue of "gender", but there being two biological sexes is settled science.

@Nazani @nixCraft Not just "start downloading all we can now", you can pretty easily grab a 20-21GB backup of the full text of right now.

I have a few copies.

@CM30 As a programmer, I find these fun facts interesting.

Oh hey have some pics of otherwise unusable weapons in #Zelda #BreathoftheWild.

Yep, the broken Master Sword, the old man’s lantern and the Korok sword are all technically things Link can equip and use.

Thanks Microsoft for just rebooting my computer ( in this case), closing my windows and ending my session, without my consent *_*
Not Windows 11, actually. I was feeling pretty good about Windows 10, looking back, but now I'm remembering some things less than fondly.

It also means I get the grab hand instead of the four arrows when I drag a window. Takes me back.

After watching and getting into the YouTube series, I've had to change my mouse cursor theme from the typical (canonical for Linux at this point) theme to the white . Time to slap some stick-figure enemies around with this extension of my hand.

@ossobuffo Yeah, I searched the FTC site and, at a glance, it doesn't look like they've said anything about it in the past 20 years.

search.ftc.gov/search?utf8=%E2

@ossobuffo Huh, that's interesting. I didn't know about uce@ftc.gov.

@royal @ossobuffo @dan @RevEricBurrowsStone Oh, you're saying that the term Hell can include the grave / being dead, in general?

An just required me to give them an email in order to use their wifi, and I entered "user@0.0.0.0". We'll see how that goes for them....

The TOS had said they could use the email for marketing :/

(Yes, I thought about doing something along the lines of "root@localhost", but I was nice to them instead :) )

Special non-paywalled link (or whatever, looks like you need to sign in to NYT otherwise?) from the X post at x.com/seanmdav/status/19117703
(I don't know if I would jump to the conclusion about it being a "scam"; though, pharma makes lots of money and where lots of money is made, have some health skepticism)

As someone who has been diagnosed with : as far as I am concerned, ADHD is a choice combined with a predisposition. I get distracted with school because I find other things more interesting, and I have a predisposition (or maybe made a choice when I was young) to think a lot

Realistically, you could build a whole wiki on an individual's life.
