I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/

In #college, talent is naturally being able to excel in your major, whereas wisdom is not playing videogames all the time so that you have the time to study.
A dilligent student does better than a lazy naturally skilled one.

Bodily problems can accumilate. Like many, I like my body, but it only gets older....
The expendability of your body is like the expendability of a car. You never intend for it to last forever, but you still avoid dents and even scratches. It will last longer if you treat it well, though it can suddenly get destroyed in a catastrophe.
@christopher Well my brother switched from Apple to Android, Samsung specifically, so there's a net change of 0 😉

@evan I voted Embrace and Extend; but by Extend I didn't necessarily mean add more features (I would *hate* for ActivityPub, and Mastodon to become feature-bloated). I meant for the server (and user) count of the Fediverse to extend.

@zudn @Aslanmane Yeah, Fn is usually part of the #keyboard itself — most keyboards (Mac computers are an exception) can't even tell the computer when Fn is pressed. Fn is just for having more "keys" than physical buttons on the keyboard.
Note that many full-size keyboards do not need an Fn key.

Now I look at it, I think the reason I prefer #Mastodon to #Threads is that average Joes are basically invisible on the latter: almost every recommended post I get is from an ‘influencer’ or ‘celebrity’.
At least here the majority of posts in topics I care about are by regular people sharing their interests and having fun.
