@epsi It's fine to want either of these options. It depends on the person and situation I think.
You know, I am strongly against PC's being locked down against user freedom, but I'm mostly fine with #DRM on #videogame consoles. It is fairer to the game developers, as it makes it more difficult to pirate games and run pirated copies.
In my opinion, your PC being free of DRM and lockdowns should be a right at this point, but why would we need that right on a computer solely for recreational purposes, to the detriment of its content creators?
@n3f_X Link plz
@servant ;-)
@servant It is talking about basically being forgotten by the world, I figure. Yeah, I just think it has a dismal, lonely feel to it, you know? Yes, serve God, not the world.
@servant This isn't true; judging by what we know about Heaven, we'll know others and be known in Heaven. And glory hardly seems to be a private thing!
And we're always remembered and loved by the loved and revered one who matters most. ✝️
User interaction done right:
@urusan I wonder whether humanity is better off without the Internet. I get the impression it causes serious instability and more problems than it fixes. Perhaps, in an attempt to help humanity, I might (attempt to) remove the Internet, and only permit the old-fashioned voice-net and thus audio calls and 🐌 modem use.
But no I don't know if we'd be better off without the Internet actually, but if I became the ruler of Earth I'd start doing some research and radical thinking.
@retronav Sway is awesome.
@servant Goooooodnight.
@joel Yeah, I've never seen the moreutils installed by default. I don't use most of them, but I like in particular sponge, ts, and vipe.
sponge: soak up standard input and write to a file [that's its description, but I'd like if it were called "buf" or something, because what it does is buffer stdin until EOF, then write it to stdout. I love it]
ts: timestamp standard input
vipe: insert a text editor into a pipe
Hello there!
I boost a lot of posts, but I have a few things to say every now and then.
I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/
