Please stop referring to the parts of the previous century that I was alive in as "The late 1900s"

@btp I liked Signal stories as a way of giving people light updates on my life without making it look demanding (stories don't cause notifications).

Jackpot: Man Asked What He's Thinking About Whilst Actually Thinking About Something Interesting

Sneak peek into something I've been working on for a while.
I'm not *quite* ready to try to publicize it, but here's a little bit. It's written in a custom programming language for a custom CPU ISA, running in an emulator I made. The game is currently about 15KiB.

@Gargron

Yea, it should be an option burred some place. But I got over it. I'm bothered that sometimes I cut&paste the URL and it get the `https://` though it wasn't highlighted when I cut it.

I'm ready for the weekend.

It took me 3 tries at importing a PGP key to realize the customer sent me their Private SSH key instead of a public PGP key.

I'm not ready for this conversation.

I heard there was a new store called Moderation.

I find it funny. I'm not active in either Fosstodon or There's Life, but I feel like I interact with users from those servers a lot. I love how the Fediverse can make you have a sense of location, where some servers feel like local neighborhoods.

Have you heard of the band 1023MB?

Realizing just how bad the Gnome Software app is. Memory leaks in the background to multi-GiB usage, only closes the window when you do Ctrl+Q (Ctrl+Q is supposed to stop it in the background too), randomly says that it is loading application details when you are viewing an application whose details are already onscreen (I think this has to do with checking for updates in the background), and browsing a category overloads Gnome Software instead of loading them one by one.

Lol, I posted this then immediately went to share things I found on YouTube....

@ossobuffo The equals sign gets my attention. We must never forget, even for a day.

I've posted this before, but in light of political goings-on in the USA, I'm going to re-post.

“The way to God lies through love of people. At the Last Judgment I shall not be asked whether I was successful in my ascetic exercises, nor how many bows and prostrations I made. Instead I shall be asked did I feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick and the prisoners. That is all I shall be asked. About every poor, hungry and imprisoned person the Savior says 'I': 'I was hungry and thirsty, I was sick and in prison.' To think that he puts an equal sign between himself and anyone in need... I always knew it, but now it has somehow penetrated to my sinews. It fills me with awe.”

— St. Maria of Paris, who died in Auschwitz because she helped smuggle Jewish children out of Paris

[This is as close to politics as I am likely to allow myself to be on Fedi.]
