I finally reinstalled Sway on my system. After having recessed into normal UIs for so long (no offense to "normal UI" users, just not made for me!), I'm finally back 😎
I find it so funny that after reinstalling sway, I didn't even need to close GNOME, it just crashed the next time I woke my computer up.

More to come: ladders, climbing, sword and shield combat, item use…yeah I still have work to do 😅

Microsoft Authenticator needs me to validate with Authenticator in order to log in with Authenticator to use it to authenticate another app with Authenticator.

Here is the app telling me to open itself to validate itself with itself.

This is like ruling that pi = 3, as we already have a definition of pi (how many diameters long a circle is) which is my point.

I'll read the article nonetheless, once I'm not in the middle of finals week :)

@ahltorp Oh. I disagree with homosexuality on moral grounds, as I believe God the creator is strongly against it, but that doesn't make it a deformity or biological error.
(Before you inevitably accuse me of hate or whatever, I do not hate homosexuals, I hate homosexuality. I can get along with homosexuals and/or people I disagree with, and still love them. Disagreement with person ≠ hate of person.)

@CenturyAvocado I've had that same problem with GIMP, actually. You'd think it would be a basic tool or something....

@CenturyAvocado It is the (pre-modern-COSMIC) Pop OS desktop, the one that's GNOME with all the Pop OS extensions, but with some extensions disabled and some added. Come to think of it again, I didn't change a whole lot... maybe their build (?) of GNOME just doesn't work correctly with "Cosmic Dock", "Cosmic Workspaces", "Pop COSMIC" et. al. disabled.

@ahltorp I don't talk about homosexuality as a deformity or biological error. I'm not sure you understand what I'm trying to say.

My modified is having a risky window system flaw where when a new window opens, sometimes the one underneath it retains focus... I've almost copy-pasted some stuff into a chat when it was supposed to go somewhere else.
My setup is really glitchy. I want to switch to something that works better, but I have so much config that might get lost... I think I'll hold out until . At least until it works on + !

@ahltorp
At any rate, sorry about the amount of posts, lol (it looked a lot smaller in my text editor...) but oh well. I think the difference between us might be mostly a linguistic difference, as I was alluding to in the post before this one.

@ahltorp
I wonder if there's another word that means sex as a spectrum, in the way you're talking about. I'd like to know it. It could be useful. If it existed, there may not have been a reason for us to have this argument....

@ahltorp
Definitions are what happens when people put an identifier to a fact or observation. We saw male and we saw female, so we got a word for it.

All this said, the fact that you can (by biological error) have a mix of sex characteristics does yield a sort of spectrum. I see that. The problem is with what I said earlier, about what the word "sex" means. That, and the biped-related thing I mentioned where these errors are considered exceptions, not part of the rule.

@ahltorp
Mixing of "races" don't result in biological error, so it doesn't mean they're malformed. However, basic understanding of human reproduction reveals that intersex doesn't make sense functionally (so, one considers it to be a deformity, unlike with races).

@ahltorp
I checked a dictionary from a hundred years ago (dict.org/ ; search "race" and scroll down to the Gcide 1913 Webster entry), and races were defined similar to how they are now. It doesn't mention a "mix" between them being frowned upon. (You won't see me frowning upon "interracial" marriage either.)
