@servant I suppose sort of both. In some cases it can effectively be a suggestion (i.e. it could get ignored), even if it is supposed to be a rule.

Paying attention in class lecture is quite helpful, even with things I don't take notes on. I find that things 'just come back to me' that I didn't realize class taught me.

I think I've spend hours looking into this. I did some WHOIS queries and there are abuse email addresses you can send reports to, I suppose to get the domain registrars to remove the entries. I really got to get on my college homework though; I've done enough

I opened the link in a Tor browser to take a look around. The scary looking S snake isn't part of the site, it is content blocked by the browser for security reasons.

I already reported the scam to YouTube and the website to Google Safe Browsing.

mastodon.social, mastodon.online and joinmastodon.org were hit by a DDoS yesterday, thankfully joinmastodon.org was already behind Fastly so it didn't have ny impact on it. We've now moved mastodon.online behind Fastly and will do the same with mastodon.social soon.

@cyberghost@fosstodon.org Some BIOSes let you disable the mic. If that feature isn't there maybe there are kernel modules you can disable or uninstall, but I don't know how that works
