When Jesus said that we should always forgive, even if the offense is repeated, he knew that Christians soon and hundreds of years in the future would be asking forgiveness of him, even daily of the same sins over and over again. The parable of the unforgiving servant follows in Matthew 18. Changes how the passage feels to me. :D

@dallin@fosstodon.org Aight who said Subaru ☠️

@servant Yeah 😄 and she doesn't like hot dogs either (that one I understand some though). But hey, at least she doesn't dislike chocolate. Some people don't!

@RL_Dane I'm not even sure that I like this particular mouse pointer concept, but I strive to think this way in my abstract designs.

@RL_Dane I love these little touches -- they're really not that little to me, they usually say something big about the developer's creativity and insight, IMO.

"Too often we attack cultural challenges with a spirit of misplaced certainty. We feel like we know what’s wrong, and we know how to fix it, and when we know we’re right, opposition is frustrating at best and infuriating at worst. The more certain we are, the more likely we are to view opponents not just as wrong, but evil. Do they not want to solve our crises?" - David French

Remember that by far, most people aren't out with the intent to destroy good.
Something to think about

@RL_Dane Alright. Well, good night

@RL_Dane Really... probably has to do with Thunderbird's Wayland support. Perhaps it is triggered by Sway and/or Wlroots bugs.
I think this, because Sway is buggy, and Thunderbird crashes pretty much only when I'm using a context menu.

Thunderbird crashed again on me... [insert rant here]

@tuxdevices It's a laser printer and doesn't have a screen, but it works with my Linux machine and doesn't require a subscription.

@tuxdevices We sent one of our HP printers back, it behaved like a jerk.
Interestingly, we got another HP (m15w) printer and it just works ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯

@mhoye I'd say sponge, pv, ts, and vipe. All these except pv are "moreutils".

Sponge buffers stdin, writing it to stdout or a file on EOF. Neat for overwriting a file in-place. E.g. `shuf file | sponge file`
Pv is like cat, but with a "progress bar". E.g. `pv file | nc ...`
Ts is like cat but it timestamps each line. E.g. `ts >> diary`
Vipe is like cat, but it lets you text-edit data as it flows through. E.g. `vipe > somefifo`
