@allinone0@fosstodon.org @tw0shoes I have heard that Qwerty is a better layout for phone use / typing with thumbs etc. Maybe this is because it was designed to keep keystrokes physically distant, preventing typewriter bars from colliding back in the day.
Dvorak in some cases (or many maybe) tries to keep keystrokes nearby, and maximize use of the home row (note that the home row has the vowels AOEUI).
I don't know if that's why Qwerty is recommended as a phone keyboard, but fun facts.
@benjaminhollon @allinone0@fosstodon.org Colemak does a good job at that.
@allinone0@fosstodon.org @rudolf Many emoji are a bit off the wall anyway.
I feel like I can't do without basic facial expression emoji though... I do like those.
But I can use emoticons though :)
@rudolf @allinone0@fosstodon.org Huh there are multiple keyboards named Simple Keyboard on F-Droid. I already had one installed, now I'm trying the one you linked — I like it better I think. Seems to work better, but no emojis though
Also no text correction :(
@dusnm I sometimes blame the compiler and libraries for errors that I think I *must* have not made. Someday I'll stop. Or not.
@tulpa@fosstodon.org @allinone0@fosstodon.org At least on Ubuntu (which PopOS is based on I think), `/snap/bin` (was it? Or `/snap/exports` maybe? I'm away from my PC rn) is in the environment variable "PATH", which you can view with this command: `echo $PATH`.
So you shouldn't have to use the snap command to run it; I suggest `ls`-ing the mentioned snap folder.
@feditips Honestly I wish it would show the whole name every time, only shortening consecutive times in the same post or thread. The way I view it, the server is part of the name; having the whole name would help me tell them apart across different posts etc. 🤷♂️

Hello there!
I boost a lot of posts, but I have a few things to say every now and then.
I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/
