@tulpa@fosstodon.org @allinone0@fosstodon.org At least on Ubuntu (which PopOS is based on I think), `/snap/bin` (was it? Or `/snap/exports` maybe? I'm away from my PC rn) is in the environment variable "PATH", which you can view with this command: `echo $PATH`.
So you shouldn't have to use the snap command to run it; I suggest `ls`-ing the mentioned snap folder.
@feditips Honestly I wish it would show the whole name every time, only shortening consecutive times in the same post or thread. The way I view it, the server is part of the name; having the whole name would help me tell them apart across different posts etc. ๐คทโโ๏ธ

@pixelherodev@fosstodon.org Sounds like a dream OS, wow ๐
I have always thought the everything-as-a-file idea was neat, but underwhelming on Linux....
For me, Linux is about as good as I'll do; I ran Arch for a while but found I didn't want to do too much adminning, so I'd imagine that getting Plan9 running on my laptop.... and I'd want a full web browser and all. Maybe someday I could try dual-booting it ๐คท
Thanks
@LinuxLounge Looks like a nice device, maybe my next phone if I can't get a Librem 5 USA... I just wish feature phones weren't associated with the elderly, you know? It's an annoying association, feature phones would be helpful to people.
Yo #Fedi folk,
What #Mastodon instance would you recommend to your mom? It's not for my mom, but for friends that aren't really the target demographic for @fosstodon (which I love).
Looking for something reasonably large (>9999 members), but family friendly, that blocks all the fringe political junk and NSFW.
@RL_Dane @allinone0@fosstodon.org Where's My Water was fun
Hello there!
I boost a lot of posts, but I have a few things to say every now and then.
I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/
