I guess this is more of an issue for mastodon than for centralized things, because a person who created accounts on multiple instances may look like multiple people in the statistics?

@DavBot I think there is hope, not least because of the strong support for human rights, so strong that pretty much everyone signed a UN declaration about it a long time ago. That includes the right to private communication, for example.

That was a long time ago, since then the "digital" things crept up on us and most people have not yet understood that the struggle for FOSS is fundamentally the same as the one for human rights. But I think they will see it, eventually.

Agreed, as long as people don't think they're done because they took one little step. In that case: well done, good step, now think about the next step!

@xianc78 perhaps a used ThinkPad with libreboot by @libreleah from https://minifree.org/ ? They are pretty good.

If you tell people to "just search for it" instead of giving them a link, you need to change that too: you are effectively giving google the power to decide what people will find.

Oh and one more thing: when you leave google, make sure to not end up in the claws of another of the giants that are no better, like Apple or Microsoft. They are equally bad.

Be free! Do not let google own you, and do not help google own others around you.

If you like democracy and human rights, then you must stay away from google because of the huge power that company has, power that is outside the reach of any democratic institution. Google's power is not used to benefit people, instead it is used to increase Google's profits and power even further.

Oh and if you are a google user, then don't blame anyone else -- you are the problem! You need to change.

If you lean left, then it should be obvious that you should not allow such a huge for-profit company to have power over you, and over society around you.

If you lean right, then htink about the size of the company and its monopoly situation. The company is so large that it has long ago passed the point where there was meaningful competition in a marketplace. A this point it just stays in power due to its monopoly.

Google is a company so large that it's value is more than a trillion (1 000 000 000 000) USD. That should be enough information for you to understand that you should stay far away from their disgusting "products".

No matter where you stand politically, the conclusion is the same: stay away from google.

@carlton this helps I think: look at the center piece on each side, that defines the color of that side since you cannot move the center piece.

Then try to get one side complete, taking care to not only get the right color on that side but also on the adjacent side. E.g. if you try to get a complete white side, then there is a piece that is white and green, then you know exactly where that piece should be because you know which side is the green side.

@agx @purism Great work! When are Librem 5 users getting this? My L5 is still on phosh 0.29 so two versions behind. By my count it's now 8 weeks since the release of phosh 0.30 (Aug 3) -- is something wrong, or are there reasons why such long delay is needed?
