@m14i@mastodon.social @randahl @mastodonusercount better to try to count "monthly active" accounts, to avoid the abandoned ones?

I guess this is more of an issue for mastodon than for centralized things, because a person who created accounts on multiple instances may look like multiple people in the statistics?
