@georgepenney heh, I have no idea about Yorkshire usage, I just know that whenever "nought" is mentioned I get confused.

If I say: "I understand naught of what you are talking about", would that be a proper way to use it?! 🙃

@devrtz thank you for the presentation, well done!

Keep up the good work 🙂

@Wuzzy looks very cool, thanks for this, I will have to try it!

@whompertoft@mastodon.social Welcome 🙂

@lispi314 @chjara

It is interesting that FOSS appeals to both leftwing people (including "communists") and rightwing/libertarian folks. The latter crowd don't care much about common ownership, but they very much appreciate the individual freedom FOSS brings in that you can check and modify the code yourself, you can be independent from BigTech and government surveillance and so on. Independence is important to them.

Personally, in my great wisdom, I appreciate both aspects. 🙂

@lispi314 @chjara

Probably something like this: when you contribute to FOSS you contribute to a common good, with common ownership. Communists want common ownership for everything, so they should appreciate FOSS.

@samuel thanks but I am on a strict zero-youtube (google) diet 😛

Swedish politics, NATO

@me PuTTY is so one way to go would be to build it yourself from source, then add some extra debugging output in the part of the code where it is looking for public keys. Then you will find out what happens.

The source code seems to be available here chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtath and here git.tartarus.org/?p=simon/putt

Good luck! 🙂

Känner du friheten? Det är som frisk luft här på nåt vis. 🙂
