@toxomat @danielst @dungeonhack @purism Thank you so much 💖 !
Please spread the word, we really need help to make Mobilizon known outside our French-FLOSS-supporters bubble ;).
@Alter For many more Google alternatives, see https://pad.foebud.org/google-alternatives
Actually doing content moderation well is very, very difficult, and you should be suspicious of any claim to the contrary. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2019/04/content-moderation-broken-let-us-count-ways
@toxomat @dungeonhack @purism @Framasoft
Indeed. Still, take a look. Purism could use this:

A campaign by @Framasoft framascurrenly aims to make such a feature.
But I think awareness of alternatives and growth are more important than single features.
Folks, for years: We have a problem called Surveillance Capitalism, it’s a systemic problem arising from socio-economic factors…
Ex-Googler: Hmm, this problem, very exotic… what shall I call it without criticising either surveillance or capitalism? Time well spent?
Folks: SURVEILLANCE CAPITALISM! It’s the feedback loop between accumulation of information (surveillance) and accumulation of wealth (capitalism)
Ex-Googler: …human downgrading?
🤔

The ultimate cheat sheet?
* curl or browser interface
* 56 programming languages
* several DBMSes
* 1000+ UNIX commands
* CLI interface too (cht.sh)
* Use directly from code editors
I'm now taking questions for the Lunduke Show from here on Librem Social / Fediverse!
Here's how to do it:
1) Ask the question.
2) Tag me: @lunduke
3) Use the hashtag #AskLunduke
That way it's easy for me to find when I'm planning shows. I'm lazy like that. ;)
@david On the content side, I was hoping on a more educational post.
Like, what is going on in the screenshots, and why does it matter?
How to get started?
When will encryption for 1:1 chats be enabled automatically?
Something like that coming?
@david "Free – we don’t think there’s much need to explain this one"
Well... isn't that exactly that word that's so often misunderstood? 😜
(And also led to some unfair criticism?)
I'd rather have it say:
Free - as in freedom, _plus_ free as in beer. You may sign up for free, and later upgrade to the full bundle with even more possibilities.
[Librem Chat] is a total, privacy-respecting replacement for all those intrusive chat services. One you can either use to have a friendly, one-on-one conversation with your best friend, or to call large groups of people. #libremone
Let us tell you about the new Librem Chat: the no worries, free, end-to-end encrypted chat, VoIP and video-calling service.
@vincent "Tremble, mighty Google. Fear, Apple. For gab will make their bowels emit hot air!"
@gabek@mastodon.social Dell is overpriced because millionaires need to somehow pay for their yachts.
@purism is expensive because they still order relatively low volumes and also invest a lot in developing and improving truly free and freedom respecting software.
Similarly, I ordered the phone not because I think that's a reasonable price tag for a phone, but because I want to live in a world where freedom respecting phones exist.
@synfinner @purism I have one, nothing really to complain. Would buy it again :)
If you stick with PureOS (which has no proprietary drivers), prepare for sub-par WiFi and no BT.
But you can always install something else.
