Heute Radtour im #Plastikmeer gemacht und neue #Container mit weggeworfenen Lebensmitteln entdeckt. Auf dem Foto mit den Gurken für den Müll kann man sehr gut im Hintergrund sehen, wie produziert wird: Jede Menge Müll. Plastikmüll. Die Gurken, die gerade und normgerecht wachsen landen dann bei uns im Supermarkt. Die anderen im Müllcontainer. Das Plastik überall in der Landschaft, am Strand, sicherlich auch im Meer. Geordnete Entsorgung der Planen? Offensichtlich nicht.

Bis eben war es am Strand sehr ruhig. Dann flatterten ein paar bunt bemalte Tauben herüber und kurze Zeit später rasten Autos auf den Strand. "Schiedsrichter" kommentieren lauthals das Geschehen in Ihre Funkgeräte. Alle starren auf den Haufen Tauben.

Weiß jemand, was der Zweck einer solchen Veranstaltung ist?

Heute das 1. Mal #Lebensmittel gerettet - mehr durch Zufall. Im wahrsten Sinn des Wortes #containern: Zwischen Gewächshäusern beim Laufen an einem #Container voll mit #Paprika vorbeigekommen. Leider hatte ich nur eine Hand frei.

So wird das Gemüse produziert, das billig in Deutschland außerhalb der Saison zu kaufen ist: In riesigen Gewächshäusern aus Plastikplanen, die bei Verfall dann direkt ins Meer geweht werden oder zerzaust in der kargen Landschaft hängen.

Notfallnummer der Autovermietung angerufen und - oh Wunder! - innerhalb einer Stunde kam ein Abschleppwagen (!!). Nein, nicht abgeschleppt und nein, keinen Ersatzschlüssel dabei.

Der Mechaniker hat zwei Kissen zum Aufpumpen zwischen Tür und Rahmen geschoben, mit den Blasebälgen die Kissen aufgepumpt und durch die Lücke zwischen Rahmen und Tür mit einem langen Draht den Griff für das Öffnen der Tür von Innen betätigt.

#Einbruch ins Auto für 103€ zzgl. Steuern.

Das 1. Mal aus einem Auto #ausgeschlossen. Bei unserem Auto habe ich das im Versuch nicht geschafft. Musste einen Mietwagen benutzen und es gab nur einen Schlüssel.

Beim VW T-Cross "Kofferraum auf" gedrückt, Schlüssel und Werkzeugkiste im Kofferraum abgelegt, Zollstock genommen und Kofferraum wieder geschlossen (um im Innenraum etwas zu messen). Verwundert festgestellt, dass alle Türen verschlossen waren. Dummheit, Gutgläubigkeit, Nachlässigkeit und ... nur ein Schlüssel.

Mit ChipTAN nutze habe ich auch schon in Firefox unter #Mobian auf dem #Pinephone eine Überweisung gemacht.

Ist dann halt doch nur ein kleiner Linux-Computer mit eingebautem Modem.

I tried the actual #postmarketos image on my #pinephone and convergence worked with the #nexdock360 the first time I connected the phone to the nexdock.

After disconnecting I could only once again get an image on the nexdock even though I tried some times.

I guess I should try with an older version to see if it is a regression...

Does anybody use the #pinephone with a #nexdock360 successfully and if so using which linux distribution?

Without any feedback I guess I'd try #postmarkedos first...

I tried 2 new usb-c 3.1 gen2 4k video cables and both worked with the #librem5 without any problems. I couldn't get a picture of the #pinephone #mobian desktop on the #nexdock360 though.

Both new cables seem to have a plug that fits more tightly into the usb-c connections of the phones and the nexdock and the connections does not break if I move the phone or the nexdock.

On the pinephone I'd like to try a different distribution. The problems started as I remember after an update.

Most probably it is not the connector on the pinephone and the librem5 breaking at the same time.

I'll try with different cables first.

BTW: Does anybody have problems with the usb-c connector? If I move the phone or the nexdock there is a good chance it just disconnects, because the cables are somehow stiff and the connection mechanically isn't very strong.

Recently I started having problems using the #nexdock360 with the #librem5, also: the librem5 didn't show anything on the screen of the nexdock within a few connection tries and then worked as expected.

After I already dumped the usb-cable that came with the nexdock, because I didn't get a consistent result in connecting the librem5 or the pinephone I started suspecting the problem might still be the connection.

Could be the cable I'm using now, could be the connector on the nexdock.

@pima, thanks for the idea! I connected the switched off #pinephone to my #nexdock360. Switched on the nexdock, then switched on the phone. I had to enter my passphrase for the encrypted volume to boot which does on the pinephone only work using the on screen keyboard (on the librem5 I can use the nexdock keyboard).

After #mobian booted on the pinephone I unlocked the screen and found the convergence symbol in the top bar - but no output to the nexdocks screen.

Since the last updates the screen on the #pinephone switches back on when the #nexdock360 is disconnected. So there's change and progress.

But the last time I tried to get the screen of the nexdock working with the pinephone it didn't switch on at all. Keyboard and touchpad are working, convergence symbol is shown in mobian and I can move windows to the inactive screen of the nexdock.

Everything looks as if the mobian is using the second screen even though no picture is shown.

2: check whether any files have been altered compared to repositories containing the packages containing the files. List files that do not belong to packages.

3: last time I looked into it new files have been ignored. Changes to directory content/structure in general should be monitoried.

- first boot setup: offer user to change the like masterkey for disk encryption
- offer boot medium that allows to evaluate all packages installed on a librem against repositories
- offer option to include as much as possible of /boot into the checksums evaluated by pureboot/heads
