I cut caffeine off about a week ago (going from a lot of sodas per day to zero), and had no issues. Even felt slightly better, and it seemed to help my natural sleep cycle, cause I can wake up earlier and feel better.
Then I tried to cut off sugary foods, and it has been HARD. Especially since there are always a lot of cookies at work, and a gas station within walking distance with lots of candy. But worse, I've had this hunger that won't get satisfied till I have a sugary drink or something.
I can't speak for the rest of the @linuxjournal archive, but I own the decade+ worth of articles I wrote. A lot of them are just as relevant today (I refer to them myself quite often). Would anyone be interested in some kind of "Best of Hack and /" polished and updated compilation?
Yesterday, me and my coworker were discussing philosophy (specifically, the convo started with me saying that "I think, therefore I am" is stupid). We ended up talking about the nature of sentience and free will for about an hour, and it made me realize how much I miss having someone to discuss philosophy with at odd times.
I bought and plugged Echo in tonight
And she hears every whisper of each quiet conversation
She streams a song, then books a flight
Her LEDs reflect the stars that guide me toward salvation
I stopped an old man along the way
Hoping to find some old forgotten words to reclaim privacy
He turned to me as if to say
"Foolish boy, it's listening to you!"
Lunduke does not like masked, hooded mobs that beat people up.
Lunduke feels like this should not be a controversial opinion.
Older computers make Lunduke smile.
Lunduke likes smiling.
Lunduke thinks we should all feel comfortable speaking openly about who we are and what we believe -- without fear of being attacked.
Lunduke doesn't care who you are...

what you did...

In a plot twist for apple, the iPhone XR (the cheapest of the newer iPhones) is their best selling one by far. Apple was surprised to learn this, claiming "Money? Money money money money?" This is believed to be translated to "What? People won't spend whatever we want them to on the best specs?", but our resident Apple translator was sick and possibly hungover, so we can't be sure. More on this story after this break from our sponsors
I would love to have a FOSS programming IDE for android, since most of my time is spent away from my computer. I would need to edit .rs (Rust) files (with syntax highlighting), and maybe .c, .cpp, and .h. Ideally one that could sync with git would be lovely. Is there any such thing before I put myself even further behind on my projects writing one?

Dear mr. Dr. Prof. Sir Lunduke the Wise,
What steps do you think LBRY would need to take before it could be a major youtube competitor? I am concerned that one thing they might need is ad revenue, because one of the major upsides to YouTube is that viewers can (sometimes) support channels financially just by watching their videos. Do you think the built in "send a tip" feature would be a viable replacement for content creators?
P.S. I use Artix (which is basically Arch with OpenRC)
Just watched the Linux Gamer's video on "Stop Theming My App". He makes a comparison how, if distros started repackaging ffmpeg to work in different ways, everyone would freak out, and that it's the same with GTK3 apps. The big issue with this is that it would only make sense, if every ffmpeg competitor had established that distro specific changes were normal. In every GTK3 competitor I know of, theming is the established standard.
