@tuxdevices Just switched from PinePhone to the OnePlus 6. The screen is a little jittery, and it's missing camera support, otherwise, it's a nice upgrade.
@Edent I switched my servers from Ubuntu to Alpine. While initial configuration is trickier, I like the larger software repository, which is easier to contribute to, IME.
@zudn @TMakarios I use micro, which is (like nano) a terminal application.
Unlike nano, it has pretty good mouse support and nicer default keybindings.
(The real reason I made the switch was for multiple cursors)
@jameschip 'Why pay a subscription for emulating old games when you can still run emulators on your last gen console.'
(personally, I don't pay the fee, but am on a family plan)
What's a good open source #router that I can buy in the states? I already have an ethernet switch, so I just need basic 2 port WAN/LAN, maybe with wifi as well.
@clarity Why is that?
@CliffWade Neither: OnePlus 6 running postmarketOS
@vitali64sur @craftyguy GPT = "GUID Partition Tables". Chat [with] GUID Partition Tables....
@JustineSmithies@fosstodon.org @calebccff Yeah, just a question of preference, I guess...
@krafter @linuxphoneapps like... use free platforms.
@JustineSmithies@fosstodon.org @calebccff Nice!
BTW, on mine in SXMO, I removed the clock and battery percent from the statusbar, so stuff isn't hidden by the notch. Maybe should be upstreamed to the device profile if others would like that...
@johntrain "Your iPhone" is a tool for dominion, but whose dominion? Ever read the EULA?
Part of becoming an elite programmer is leaving behind so-called "office apps" and embracing text editors, tui apps, REPLs, and the shell.
I have better tools to handle 80% of the use-cases for office apps, so for me, they're already mostly replaced.
@jameschip "Any Old Port in a Storm" and "Dagger of the Mind" would also be good choices (Though I think "Double Shock" is my and my wife's favorite so far too).
@popey This is how Apple hostages will consume all (non-affero) GPL-licensed software in the future.
@gardiner_bryant YouTube was the hardest to cut off, but it was worth it.
@martijnbraam Since I started daily driving pmOS (stable), I stopped daily using mastodon, so I missed out on voting in this poll.
