@jalcine it doesn’t really, .eth is on a different root than the rest of DNS. Also Ethereum has a (prototype) light client protocol, so one can fetch only the information required for a lookup from peers. It’s probably better for privacy to have the whole ledger pulled though.
I just love telling the story of how federation works with #ActivityPub by showing a #Peertube video feed in Mastodon, commenting under a video, hen viewing my comment under that video on the Peertube instance.

NASA is going to the moon again! https://www.nasa.gov/specials/moon2mars/ I wonder how much this will actually help to get us to Mars, and if maybe we can’t get to work on going to Mars directly because of a lack of budget.
The new server picker is live on https://joinmastodon.org/, I hope you like it!
@joao @todd Worked as is! I did have already a bunch of python libs already preinstalled for work though. It defaulted to somewhere pretty far away from me, so I changed the proxy url to another one here (https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/network/ ) and that also worked directly too. Could the script install every option in one go? That would have been convenient!
@brainblasted What do you think of https://social.coop/about ?
@todd Are there plans for librem tunnel on desktop (linux)?
