Time flew by in my talk and I didn't manage to talk about everything that I originally had planned, but it was still pretty fun and I hope you enjoyed it as well!
Have a look at the slides here:

Directly afterwards we had the #phosh Get Together. If memory serves we must've been between 20 to 30 people (?) and lively discussions where had around all things #phosh and #MobileLinux
Thanks for coming!

Ich hoffe Mal das nicht auffällt das mir langweilig ist. Wir müssen halt warten...
Egal, ich schaue mir jetzt Mal den Vortrag von @devrtz an.
Last week parts of the #MobileLinux community got together at #FrOSCon and, dare I say, had a great time in our "FOSS on Mobile" devroom 🌈
Throughout two days we had some hacking, lightning talks, workshops and BoFs!
Saturday morning I had the pleasure of welcoming around 5 people (at 10:00 in the morning!)
to the room.

Looks like phones with hardware kill-switches running a fully open-source OS will become increasingly popular here! 😢

Back from #XtremeFest where I volunteered as a bartender for the past 3 nights: heaven for #PunkRock/#HxC lovers, human-sized (~2k people each night), with a small lake/beach for swimming and recovering during the afternoons! Likely one of the best festivals out there if you're into this kind of music! 🤟 🎸
Oh, and yes, we also have a bar inside a skateboard bowl! 🛹
@devrtz @jayreding @mobian You can't claim to be a universal OS without phone support nowadays, see https://media.ccc.de/v/froscon2022-2797-is_there_hope_for_linux_on_smartphones - so running it on your phone is the new normal.
Are you really browsing the #Web, or is the Web browsing you?
On my #blog, you're the one in control. Death of the author! User before the designer, #Userstyles before the default #style !
I invite you to the opening of the new, dark section of my web page.
Australia - the country with some of the worst surveillance laws - sees a turn in attitudes among its citizens. More and more people demand better privacy protection from companies as well as legislators.

@devrtz I've been there myself: with any live demo you (rightly) ought to be focussed on the audience rather than any unexpected problem solving. But your demo was very effective: it showed it worked, but also that it's proper bleeding-edge stuff.
@devrtz Great talk; loved it! A pretty comprehensive tour and snapshot of Linux on Mobile. Despite the camera glitch, I particularly liked the demo. Wish I could have been there in person; thanks for sharing.
@devrtz Thank you for looking into our app!
You are correct; Flare must be linked to a primary Signal device (support for using it as a primary device is planned).
So if you want to use just a Linux phone, then you'll need to link Flare to signal-cli.
Hope that helps!
Hello world!
We're a group dedicated to creating beautiful apps for your #mobilelinux devices. All our apps are built with #gtk4 and #libadwaita, and are #adaptive for both desktop and mobile #linux devices!
On this account we will post announcements for new releases and new features of our apps, which you can find over at https://gitlab.com/schmiddi-on-mobile and https://github.com/Schmiddiii.
This account is run by @julianfairfax, on behalf of Schmiddi and the Schmiddi on Mobile group.
@Anachron Take a look at #Librem5: it's NOT surveiling you at all (challenging but doable), it's somewhat repairable (a bit hard), but it doesn't last that long (hard if you want the other two).

Disclaimer: I've been working on the Librem 5 for @purism for the past 4 years and counting.
@nieral @postmarketOS @signalapp
We just recently discussed signal at #phosh's community get together at #FrOSCon. Flare and the desktop client (registration via signal-cli) were mentioned there. For questions best join https://matrix.to/#/#linuxphoneapps:matrix.org .
With a few small bumps, managed to get the #Librem5 booting into a #Mobian installer, and installed with an encrypted rootfs!
So far, only have #Dino configured, but that is enough for this to be a hugely useful communications device, especially with #JMPchat to connect up to telephony networks!
Love the kill switches for cellular modem, wifi/bluetooth and camera/mic!
This is my first #Debian #Trixie based computer, as there may be issues with the now-stable #Bookworm on this hardware.
