I just brought a set of extra drives recently. I have been thinking of an off site backup solution being, on a schedule swapping out a drive into a fire proof box inside the safety deposit box. I visit a relative that is about an hour away pretty regularly.

Still exploring my options, so suggestions are welcome for off site backups that are well protected.

A combo of #libremone and my home server #nextclolud setup, I am very close to being done with a few big tech data mining companies.

5th month at new job, I have changed products line twice, learning 3 different new technologies, + a complete re-org

From a start up where I was very much in control of my day to day, to feeling the ball is under a different cup each day

I miss the start up, working from home, and everyone I worked with but I forget the 100 hour weeks + lesser insurance. Now I have time to learn new stuff, still work with cool people, + great insurance for my medically complicated child

I read this book before going into a deep dive into a few TF projects at work. I feel like it does a good job at covering the basics. However, I can say good TF projects are Greek compared to examples and concepts in this book.

I have much respect for the people I work with that created these well designed and abstracted projects. Maybe I should get them to write a book on the topic.

This book was given to me by the person that became my "best person" at my wedding. During the darkest point in my life, this book and others, ended up giving me perspective on why I was not a happy person.

This book likely isn't good for most in dark place. But if you have a morbid curiosity about your darker thoughts, this is a book for you.

If you are in a dark place, find a better book and a friend that you can talk to. What you feel is fine and people want to help

@dallin I acquired a CD/DVD duplicator and a negative film scanner out of trade for some work I did for a closing business. Not sure why that software company needed a negative film scanner but let me know if you need any help :)
