Makes sense! US society looks extremely polarized, many are disappointed in the political system and I won't be surprised if Kremlin had a hand in this too or at least seized the moment and exploited it well.

@neural_meduza Не мог. Потому что он сам был гандон 🤣

@useless_idiot
Yeah, it's odd. Usually it's the left who are somewhat delusional about international matters and tend to support anyone who is not US including all sorts of dictatorships. This time for some reason it's the exact opposite.

@thor While we're at it, here is the Mr.Show sketch that always springs to mind when I hear Tex-Mex. It's salty, but funnier than my stupid joke, I promise 😅

@thor I agree, but that's not that function's problem, it's our problem. As always, there is no technological solution for the social problem.
It's about community and I think this place is about right as is, people here rarely go into pursuit of likes more often make fun of it, e.g.: mastodon.world/@comicslibraria
If collecting likes is your thing you'll most probably pick other social media with wider user base anyway 🤷

@thor I don't think that removing that button completely will make online interactions more "humane" — some won't think about their reply for too long and it will just bring back the "I like", "+1", "I second this" — that kind of thing. Some will think that's rude and will try to come up with more meaningful replies, but that will require them to put more effort in those so it's kinda manipulative.

@thor Well, it's a nice new spin on how to handle online social interaction. Some dislike this feature completely. I don't — I think it makes replies cleaner, rids them of "I agree with this", "Oh, what a nice cat", "I've read your reply and I have nothing to add" — it doesn't mean that receiving this kind of reactions is bad and makes me feel unhappy.

@thor Good thing we have a star here just for that — no need to make a comment 😄

A Tex-mess? 😂

@enduser@berserker.town
By last usage date? That makes a lot of sense! TBH sorting them by color isn't unreasonable too — color coding isn't some made up thing. Problem is, some companies often change their apps' icons when it's some holiday and that breaks usage patterns.
I'm not a fan of color coding, I arrange my icons… They are sorted alphabetically with a few exceptions. There is a system behind it, but it's kinda hard to explain in 2 words. Now that is weird 😜

@neural_meduza Слушайте, ну это безобразие! Я буду жаловаться!
Когда уже будут забавные новости, сгенерированные нейросетью?

@thor
Most games these days are either some "alternative history" where the steam engine won or some fantasy setting with magic or some sci-fi setting with weird tech or some post-apocalyptic setting — it's so boring 😩
@gregsdennis

@scops Were they really following it? I always thought they were pioneering it. Wasn't it the reason they've abandoned PowerPC first to Intel and now to ARM. When the first iPhone came out most cell phones had user-replaceable batteries. Then the all-glued-in MacBook Air and so on…
