@alcinnz The related quote uses the noun, "Google", while the article title uses the verb, "google" (i.e., search the internet). (The article does target Google.)
The danger here is in labeling one search engine as worse than others of it's kind. I'm sure Bing is just as guilty (and Duck Duck Go by proxy).
The root trouble is how the search query data is collated and used to pollute the data on the internet. This makes crawlers like Mojeek ineffective.

Studies have shown that a non matching 401k benefit isn't very profitable. i.e., you might be better off to put your money in a savings account than let your employer-selected fund manager have it. @fc

We - open organisations and communities - need to avoid dependencies on listed corporations. They use open communities to launder their reputation (at best) or to co-opt them and shut them down because they're represent a threat to that corporation's profitability. Because of their incentives, they do not act in a benevolent way in the medium to long term. They are not allies, except of temporary convenience, and dependencies on them undermine our credibility & cloud our own values.
