@dthompson I find these heat the person well without needing to heat the entire space. Definitely use passive where possible, but sometimes that's not enough and this can fill those gaps

@dthompson feels like somehow this year has bumped us onto the darkest timeline, so sadly this is not really a surprise
@moparisthebest few of those do HDMI natively, no?
Interesting take on "The Social Network" as a horror film:
@dthompson I hope your optimism ends up being warranted
@maris sadly attempts to change that have infamously failed: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/undertheinfluence/the-real-reason-most-prices-end-in-99-cents-1.4731238
@dthompson at first I thought @cwebber@octodon.social but then reconsidered at they seem more effective and grounded...
Hello! Looking for hardware for measuring indoor air quality ๐จ ๐ ๐จ One of our housemates has allergies we're trying to track down... Hardware must detect:
- particulate matter (e.g. PM 2.5 & 10)
- volatile organic compounds (specifically wood volatiles like turpentine)
Should be as open as possible and 'affordable'. Temp. & humidity nice bonus, but not necessary. Does not need to be turn-key/can be for nerds ๐ค
@dthompson I can definitely appreciate that. I avoid single use tools as much as possible too. If it helps, we also use ours for potatoes (and a couple of times for vegetable based pasta substitutes, but this is admittedly rare).
If hand peeling isn't too much of a chore, then less stuff is more better :)
@dthompson if speed is a concern, then getting something like this may help:
Big publishers really wish that libraries were not a thing.
@kyle if they were able to keep SourceForge limping along, there may be hope yet. Curious how deep those pockets are...
@purism nice write up! Are the sources to the blender models available anywhere?
@ckeen perhaps Davx5 for the sync to Android, then Etar for interacting.

In plain terms, they're pushing you to let them collect data on your network device. What data exactly? Well... "The information we collect varies depending on which NETGEAR product or service you use." https://www.netgear.com/about/privacy-policy/
Huh. Didn't realize how terrible the Epson refillable tank printers were. Less than 2 years in with little printing, and the dreaded Ink Pad issues have bitten friends of mine (search for that before buying one).
Amazing how they could make something that should be a great idea into a terrible one.
Thanks, Epson.
@mattl a little older, but it reminds me of the Casio JD-300
