ssh is probably the most underrated tool I use every day. The capability for me to sit basically anywhere on the planet with an internet connection and remotely get stuff done over a secure connection is a boon. I don't think any other tool comes close to the usefulness of ssh.

We did it! We came together as a community and met our fundraising goal to defend software freedom from patent litigation.

@blunaxela

Untangle is one of the reasons why I kept using Linux to begin with. I had a spare machine back in 2008 that was just Ubuntu with sgt-puzzles installed so I could play it.

@lunduke
Dosbox and civ with a usb keyboard and mouse (and monitor if possible).

Just re-upping this offer: because being comfortable with git is a barrier to entry to many FS/OSS projects, and because I care deeply about lowering those barriers, I will tutor anyone who asks for help with git, and/or connect them with any mentor(s) they might prefer.

I'll do this while I put energy and work into making the tool more approachable, and into making better tools and learning paths.

Boosts gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for the clarification! =]
I was concerned that there would be a bleeding edge version that was on all the beta devices and a LTS version.

@purism
In the post, it's not entirely clear if the Aspen - Dogwood models will receive the LTS software etc when it becomes available? Could someone confirm please?

@popey It's disabled by default in some distros but if you go to Settings > Preferences > Shortcuts you should be able to find and set it.

If I can get 2,141 more subscribers on LBRY... I'll have the most subscribed to channel on LBRY. I just decided I want that.

Help me get there and I'll bring back . ;)

@welshpixie Hmmm, sounds like it's doing some kind of automatic disabling of other outputs, there's probably a way around that in one of the pulse modules. However wireless headphones do make this easier!

@welshpixie Is this on a laptop or PC? I ask because laptops usually automatically disable speakers when the headphone jack is plugged in. This can sometimes be fixed in the BIOS. However if it's a PC then possibly pavucontrol? Otherwise you could script it with pulseaudios CLI systutorials.com/docs/linux/ma.

I can't find Librem Chat on F-Droid. I can find Tunnel and Social though. I've update the repos as well. Is there a link you can post?

@purism Does the alarm function work in the background yet? I tried to use an old laptop as an alarm but the alarm won't go off unless the gnome-clocks application is running.

@Wimpy Nice! I got my 4GB version coming tomorrow. Can't wait to run mate on it! *Hint* *hint*

@phelion @purism I just saw the video too and it made my very happy! @purism are making the right decisions!

Will I be able to sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade my Librem 5 or will that feature be locked down like on the Ubuntu phone? @purism
