Read the interview with Guido Günther, a developer at Purism, on how the free and convergent #PureOS system and the #Phosh graphical environment merge the phone and desktop experience into one, and how they benefit mobile device users.
Thanks to the kind work of our volunteer translators, you can also read it in Dutch, Italian, and Spanish.

Just testing a newer kernel for Jumpdrive on the #librem5. Serial console access in u-boot and the kernel is a must!
I just released a new version of "cast", which is my GNU/Linux (mobile first) app for viewing Swedish public service TV.
Get it while it is fresh: https://code.smolnet.org/micke/cast/releases/tag/v0.1.0
We are moved all of our repos from Gitlab.com to https://salsa.debian.org/Mobian-team
Please use this for the new home for all things Mobian Gitlab related.
📱 On my way to #Debconf22 and it was the first time I could show the QR code of a train ticket on #phosh's lockscreen to the conductor (had to resort to unlock ➡️ nautilus ➡️ evince so far).
For that I stitched together a lockscren plugin that leverages #evince's libevince. Hope the other tickets will works just as well tomorrow.
Today (5.07.2022) starting from 21:00 CET we are going to do some maintenance work on disroot. As result there will be short downtimes of following services:

📨 Email server (imap/smtp://disroot.org)
🎩 Lufi (https://upload.disroot.org)
💾 PrivateBin (https://bin.disroot.org)
🗒️ Etherpad (https://pad.disroot.org)
⏱️ A minute long downtime on all services
Calls v43.alpha.2 has been released and is coming to a mobile (or non mobile) device near you soon 🚀
This time around there were mostly smaller fixes and the usual updated translations \o/
Please boost for reach. So, anyone that is working on FOSS projects like web apps, sites, Linux apps, desktop environments, or other user interfaces, please let me know if you want them tested for accessibility. I can do both CLI, web, and GUI testing, and app testing on Android. I'm running Debian (on a ChromeBook but that's not too important), so just give me the name of the package, or the URL of the site or app. I can also do Flatpak!
A friend pointed out the EFF has put out a guide for camping.
Please keep it in mind:
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2022/06/security-and-privacy-tips-people-seeking-abortion
I think this goes without saying, but please, go on camping trips to other places (like say, Chicago or Canada).
But do not post details about your camping trips.
Use a VPN to learn details of your camping trips, especially if you do a staycation.
I 100% support the right to go on camping trips. But do not tell me about them. Do not tell Anyone about your camping trips unless they need to know.
And if you haven't already: Delete any app that tracks periods. It can and WILL be used against you.
If any women need financial assistance to travel to Oregon for exercising their reproductive rights, hit me up.
Fuck the #scotus.
