A snapped application to make installation of appimages easier. Quick, someone make an appimage of flatpak, to complete the set! #GottaCatchEmAll snapcraft.io/appimageinstaller

@popey well you already have Flatpaks (and likely snaps) packages of Electron apps, that thing that is suppoded to be cross platform.
Someday someone will make an Electron app, inside a flatpak that is inside a spap which is inside docker containers.
'cause, why not...

@rysiek@mastodon.technology current design conventions are in the sense that multiprotocols is not good.

@martijnbraam took like 30 min. It helped that your app does not have many dependencies and it was easy to find them.
There are several tools to automomate deb packaging. And to automagically create boilerplate templates that you just need to adjust.

@martijnbraam For the Lulz of it, I packged it as DEB. It was quite simple to do.

@manjarolinux@botsin.space you talk aobut it as if it happened by accident :p

folks have been working on moving from to for months now:

@dcz I guess that is what the part "bleeding" in "Bleeding edge" means. (yes, it is a silly joke). Positive thing about it is that if you have the time and paitience a person might lear new stuff.
I remember I learned how to chroot into a system to repair it, because of one of these magical updates, in a bleeding edge distro.
My case was Arch

@brainblasted n00b question about that statement:
Were do:
- people that report valid bugs often, and in some cases provide backtraces
- people that send patches
- translators

Fit in that?

For clarity, what do you consider: work on a project ?

Long weekend:

- Decided to practice packaging applications as DEB packages. Managed to package 3 out of 5 applications. A lot of mistakes along the way, and checking man pages. And while they install and run, still work to do to make them less `sloppy` deb packages.

- One LAN party with friends: Age of Empires II
- One AFK party

- Not enough sleep :p

you may now test the freshly born and much requested #cryptpad instance of #tchncs :tchncs:!
