@purism What do you think about adding a photography section? If so, my personal view for one FOSS, is digiKam. My personal FOSS shortlist is , , and . There are many more good, and I use more than my shortlist myself.

I have installed Element messaging on my desktop, with intention to explore if this is a eg messaging application I like and will have use of. Can I find any friend who use it to send or receive a message?

On the theme "I have nothing to hide", I doubt many like when a coffee shop chain app monitor your geolocation always, when your device is on. And make a note when you eg visit their competitors, your home or work. priv.gc.ca/en/opc-news/news-an

@pvagner @purism Thanks, I will focus on Element then. And @purism should consider to update their support info for Librem.

@slubman @purism Good, then it's clear its Element I should download and explore.

@hans Oki, thanks, then I understand so I skip the Riot download page and go for Element.

@purism In the article, you suggest Element for eg messaging. But in Librem guide, you suggest Riot desktop sw for Librem Chat. But Riot link to Element. I'm confused, can you explain how they relate to each other?

Flower photos again! And an ant (?) as bonus. Taken with my camera using the software to develop the photos. I am new to RawTherapee and use this as an opportunity to learn, aiming to use it more and more. hemrin.com/ord-words/354-ant-w

If I should test a non-graphical web browser (eg Lynx) available on Linux; which do you recommend? Mostly for curiosity, no specific purpose, maybe a help to review web site design but mostly to just explore a new world.

@zaivala I think you remember correct. Maybe it's time to check again. When I checked a year ago, my device was not supported or its camera was a major issue, but that may have changed. Thanks!

@zaivala I had to look up what it is, can't remember I heard about it, but maybe. But those alternatives tend not to be designed for my Sony and very old Samsung tablet (an old outdated version of Lineage exist). Hope you get it working and even useful!

"home" on a separate partition or not? Full encryption of the drive, of only home, or not at all? Cinnamon, Mate or Xfce? Decisions I have to take before I can start the Linux Mint decision! Who said it is easy to install Linux... I must take decisions first how I want it to work!
