@karlemilnikka it's interesting that Google is a company worth 2 000 000 000 000 USD and ads is their main business but still they apparently do not have the resources or competence to clean out obviusly fake ads. Either that, or they willingly keep fake ads because they make money on those ads.
If thry do it on purpose I suppose that should be illegal, a form of fraud?

@jajo jag tycker att C kan förtjäna en röst för att de visat att de faktiskt kan hålla fast vid vissa principer. De har faktiskt sagt nej till en del av de auktoritära skit-förslag som blivit så vanliga på senare tid. De klarade att stå emot grupptrycket och stå kvar när resten av "alliansen" gick i auktoritär riktning.

Google announced client-side scanning for Android. I don't think there's any point in calling it otherwise, or discussing the alleged "usefulness" of this technical implementation.
@Mer__edith very aptly reminded, in her reaction, that the AI-powered scanning is proprietary and it's within Google's discretion what type of communication is flagged as problematic. Scams, today. What next? Reproductive rights? Labour organizing?
@gooba42 @catileptic @Mer__edith This hightlights again why everyone should stop using closed operating systems controlled by Google/Apple. To have security and privacy we need to use #FreeSoftware operating systems where the user has control, such as GNU-like #MobileLinux systems.
Don't fall for the myth that "we have no choice", "nothing can be done".
You have a choice, there are fully libre #LinuxMobile operating systems that you can choose to use. Don't let Google/Apple own you.

@helenaviking @landetannien det går bra att spela schack den vägen också har jag hört. Ett scack-drag i varje brev bara, var och en har spelet uppställt på brädet hemma hos sig och så flyttar man motståndarens pjäs när brevet kommer och funderar några dagar på sitt eget motdrag innan man postar det.

@luana Using a #Librem 5 with #phosh (on #Debian based distros) since several years. All the common bits (phone calls, SMS, mobile data, GPS positioning, proximity and orientations sensors, leds, haptic feedback, cameras, …) etc work.
The app ecosystem (as mentioned in this thread) is growing and has nice options already. Camera usage has some quirks (userspace / app limitations) but there's 3A (thanks @pavel) so "point and shoot".
