@martijnbraam Missing this option that would have applied for me:

"I know pmos, have tried it and might try again, but I'm not using it right now"

I think it's a great project, thanks for working on it!

@nikolar@mastodon.se @ulfbjereld

@terryenglish is your point that you prefer centralized system where a single central authority decides everything?

In my view, federation seems better. If a situation like you describe happens, the thing to do is either to influence the admin to change policy about blocking the other one, or else move to a different instance that works better for you. You have options, in contrast to the centralized case where you can't do anything if someone get blocked.

@agx

I noticed this is working now, it works to stop the alarm without unlocking. Thanks! 👍

It will be much appreciated by certain of my family members who have been complaining that it always took so long for me to turn off the alarm in the morning. 😄

Someone asked me today about my plans for the Fall and it took me a moment to realize she meant my plans for the Autumn and not the collapse of civilization.

@ordbajsarn Det är musik jag gillar, har sett dem live ett par gånger, riktigt bra!

@justincroser@social.linux.pizza Good job, moving in the right direction! 👍 👍 👍

@janvlug

Does it work for you?

I'm trying, but so far I get stuck at some problem when it tries to reach the homeserver: source.puri.sm/Librem5/chatty/

@purism

@justincroser@social.linux.pizza and things keep getting better, the "convenience gap" is closing with time.

By the way, related to this discussion: theguardian.com/world/2022/nov

That kind of thing makes it clear why we need freedom in technology, we need to not be owned by Google/Apple.

@justincroser@social.linux.pizza I think what I get is more freedom and independence from Google, at the price of less convenience.

"Degoogled" Android variants give you something more convenient, more apps available and so on. But then you still kind of play by Google's rules which I don't like.

For me, being free from Google is more important, as well as being part of improving the free (as in freedom) alternative that GNU/Linux provides. I want to help with that, so I sacrifice some convenience for it.
