@b0rk good list! I have one more command that I found very helpful:

git pull --rebase

@agx @janvlug @z3ntu yes, he (Aleksander) is one of many heroes in the FOSS world. I remember he was very helpful when the MMS-related changes were coming together a couple of years ago, with several people helping out from different sides. MMS works fine nowadays.

If you have seen him somewhere in the fedieverse, please let me know.

@girlonthenet

> You're meant to be punk, goddammit

I see your point. I think that being on Facebook may be the least punk thing to be, ever.

@kkarhan

@fedora well, it must have seemed ok at the time 🙂 (I don't remember now but I think that might have referred to the DVD not being damaged, so not an assessment of the Fedora version as such)

@fedora funny, I just came across this DVD lying around the house here. You're saying that if I install this now then I should upgrade directly, huh?

@samuel läskigt.

@Josteglitz

> why do prices rise when supply increase?

The supply of Bitcoin did not increase.

- The supply of "USDT" increased. Note that "USDT" is not USD, and it is also not Bitcoin.

- The price of Bitcoin increased.

Possible explanation: Tether created more USDT and sold them to people who paid with fiat money. Those people then used those new USDT to buy Bitcoin (and/or other cryprocurrencies), so there was increased demand for Bitcoin.

I hope @tante will correct me if I'm wrong.

@kallekn @rasmusfleischer

@Manu do you have a suggestion for what to do?

Debate them, or not? Isolate them, or not? Or are those not even the right questions to ask?

@jeffowski

@z3r0fox I would like to consider also the possibility that it was "too late".

Humanity might have been better equipped to handle drastically increased networking if it had started a couple of decades earlier.

My impression is that around the 60s and 70s there was a stronger sense of "we can build a better society together", then during 80s and 90s that changed to something more like "we are just individual consumers, we only want cheap products and don't care about building a good society".

Should pupils help clean schools?

Ableist techbros, internet, accessibility

@cosmin oh, that's bad. Nothing should ever just say "error", it should say soething about what kind of error. Better error handling needed, somewhere.
