@leighelse yes, I think it's a good idea. At least these two reasons:

(1) They learn how to do cleaning, a good skill to learn.

(2) Cleaning the spaces where you yourself may have made things dirty is good practice for everyone, you will then understand why you should not leave a mess, because someone will have to clean it up.
