@StreetDogg @noelreports I suspect it's because they have no replacement for Taurus, not even in development or planning, and are afraid that Russians might develop countermeasures if they record Taurus in action, analyze the debris and perhaps get their hands on an unexploded one. Meanwhile France and UK are developing successors to SCALP-EG/Storm Shadow.

@jab01701mid @noelreports Occasionally I also get "video not found" on Noel's videos. The workaround is to open these posts on their server of origin (the date should link to it) and then they work.

@BigAngBlack I find it really weird that someone would have a problem with Black Santa. Poland's most popular depiction of Mary depicts her and Jesus with dark skin and it's not controversial.

@noelreports They are really good and modern SPMs (autoloader, MRSI, etc.). They can shoot and scoot really fast, so counterbattery fire shouldn't be a problem. Russian drones, however, might be a problem.

@noelreports This is insane. So much death and destruction because of imperial ambitions...

@itsfoss @ubuntu Ubuntu Ubuntu 10.04 was the first Linux I ever saw and used. It was impressive when compared with Windows XP; even the Compiz effects seemed cool at the time.

Ubuntu 10.10 was the first Linux I installed on my (quite old) personal hardware.

I briefly tried out Mint and elementary OS, but stuck with Ubuntu until I moved to openSUSE 13.2 and finally to Arch.

@Badger52@mstdn.social @noelreports Perhaps to speed things up? After all, Ukraine did get quite a few Leopards. More sites means more repairs can be in progress simultaneously.

@noelreports Polish air defense is in a bad state. There are programs to make it very modern, but they are still in progress. These first Patriot systems are the start of Poland's future air defense. Exchanging them for Iron Dome means Poland will have multiple types of medium-range air defense systems, which complicates training, software, and logistics. Additionally, politicians will have to explain to their voters why Poland is swapping its most modern and very expensive air defense systems.

@tbernard @allanday The partitions are identified by colors. Won't this decrease accessibility?

@noelreports The toot makes it seem like the HMGs were donated, but the article makes it seem like they were sold.

@mmmgaming @itsfoss There are some Discord alternatives. For example, there's Revolt, but it's not federated.

@noelreports The problem is that elections are incoming in Poland, and the opposition seems pretty strong this time. This means the government will unfortunately do *all* the mudslinging and won't back off because seeming weak could cost them votes. Perhaps Ukraine thought this was a good time to pressure them, but the govt cannot allow themselves to be pressured in public. So this shitshow can get even worse.
