@Edizionilazio @noelreports They are flying drones: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HESA_Shahed_136
@auschwitzmuseum And to think that "lustig" means funny, happy...
@itsfoss It's also available in ls replacements, eza ( https://github.com/eza-community/eza ) and lsd ( https://github.com/lsd-rs/lsd ).

lsd --hyperlink=always
@noelreports Was the money used to manufacture them for the specific purpose of fighting or purchase them off the shelf from some civilian FPV company?
@CarringtonTV @noelreports If they were, I would expect Russia to encourage media and investigators to visit the crash site, perform DNA testing, etc. They would be very vocal and unusually transparent. Instead, it seems they are hiding something, so the POW story is unlikely.
@nick @noelreports Most likely the cargo was S-300 ammo and Putin is pissed because western weapons were used to shoot a plane over Russia. He thought Ukraine was banned from using them on Russia's territory. Maybe that changed, which is very bad news for Russia.
@dragonsidedd @noelreports It's a slightly tweaked video game logo. Not sure if the stickers are available anywhere or if you would have to make your own.
@Edizionilazio @noelreports If they are letting everyone know, it means Russians already know. The hard part is not knowing it exists; it's countering it.
@noelreports Warmates are great. They are quite resilient to jamming and hacking, unlike civilian drones.This makes them excellent for striking important targets, like air defense, that are protected with EW.
@LorrieW @noelreports It's in Russia. It's located near Katyn, where in 1940 Soviets murdered at least 21768 Polish citizens.
@itsfoss FYI Intel has released an AI plugin for GIMP: https://github.com/intel/openvino-ai-plugins-gimp
@auschwitzmuseum Do you know when this photo was taken? If not the exact year, then at least a decade?
@noelreports So every single Congress member has to agree? Is a majority not enough?
@Mehrad This is why I said "the actual source". A dialogue between Napoleon and Churchill can't be the origin of this quote. :)
@Mehrad Do you know the actual source of this quote? I've heard it attributed to Bolesław Wieniawa-Długoszowski, though in slightly different form. ("You fight for honor? We do for freedom. So everyone fights for that, which they lack.") I'm not sure if he was the first one to say it and I'd like to learn more, but searches didn't return anything useful.
@noelreports Fediverse mostly grows in waves when mainstream social media fails and alternatives are mentioned.
BTW on Twitter, I'm more likely to like tweets and add meaningless comments to make the algorithm boost important posts, but there's no algorithm here, so I just read the posts and move on. You don't even know how many people you reach.
@itsfoss I was distrohopping until I settled on Arch. No reinstalls, no PPAs, no outdated software. Requires some basic Linux skills that I've already picked up at that point.
@noelreports It's sad to think that all of this could have been avoided if Putin and his supporters weren't so stupid and cruel.
@whatisbetamax @noelreports The article says "enemy’s electronic warfare" instead, which makes sense.
@noelreports Resistance to enemy anti-aircraft missiles? Photos show a ground vehicle. Am I missing something?
