The US is offering Poland to transfer part of its existing Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine in exchange for Washington supplying Poland with Israeli-made Iron Dome air defense systems, Politico writes.

@noelreports Polish air defense is in a bad state. There are programs to make it very modern, but they are still in progress. These first Patriot systems are the start of Poland's future air defense. Exchanging them for Iron Dome means Poland will have multiple types of medium-range air defense systems, which complicates training, software, and logistics. Additionally, politicians will have to explain to their voters why Poland is swapping its most modern and very expensive air defense systems.

@elgregor @noelreports Presumably, they wouldn't be exchanging Patriot missiles 1:1 with Iron Dome missiles. The Patriots are a tad more expensive.
