It's definitely sharper though, the first one happened to focus almost but not quite there; I think the way Mastodon scales photos down makes it less pronounced.

@nina_kali_nina What I learned from my work on phone camera drivers after several debugging sessions is that this is the moment when you need to wipe off the camera lens.

@oausi @postmarketOS They should - if they don't it means you've stagnated - and they will, so you design processes to handle them well. Which seem to have worked fine in this case, as the issue was contained to a version that's explicitly unstable, right?

@alpinelinux Haven't checked the others, but at least 6.12.89 doesn't address Fragnesia yet. Haven't you mixed it up with ssh-keysign-pwn / CVE-2026-46333 which it does fix?

How so? There's a good progress being made for post-Android phones and some devices become daily-driveable already, but I don't think any of them reaches anywhere near the Librem 5's level of maturity so far, and most (though not all) of the things where L5 isn't very mature yet are in fact properties of the software stack that are generally universal across devices.

@codo @janvlug OK, that's the one (the other string shows up in dmesg, I mixed them up). You should be able to flash it, though if the red LED is shining continuously you may want to give it a few minutes to charge up a bit first, as from the previous messages it seemed like it might have been browning out on power.

@codo @janvlug Keep the battery in, keep it plugged in. Holding the power button for about 5 seconds will turn it off, holding Vol+ while turning it on will put it into flashing mode. Verify it's seen in lsusb as NXP SE Blank M850, then launch the script.

@codo @janvlug Just hold Vol+ button while turning the phone on, it won't do anything but should then show up in lsusb and then run the flashing script.

If you do, there are ways to mount its filesystem over USB and investigate too.

@wariat @kokos @rocking_horse To co się zmieniło od tego czasu to to, że Rada Języka Polskiego uznała odmianę z zachowaniem x za także dopuszczalną, więc choć "Firefoxie" nadal tak samo kłuje w oczy, to już odpada argument, że jest niezgodne z oficjalną ortografią którym można było kiedyś zamknąć dyskusję. Natomiast postulowanie używania tu apostrofu to kompletna i oczywista odklejka xddd
