@rocking_horse To chyba musisz się lepiej zapoznać z językiem polskim w takim razie.

@rocking_horse @kokos W sens'ie że wpieprz'amy apostrof'y w niewłaściw'e miejsc'a? Apostrof służy do zasygnalizowania czego nie wymawiać.

@Luigi311 The bottleneck for photo taking is actually DNG unpacking and JPEG compression. The shader is able to process more than 30 FPS (although at fairly low resolution), as it was written for real-time video recording: source.puri.sm/-/snippets/1223

@Blort Which one do you want to see?

It's still using a very basic debayering method of 2x2 superpixels, so it has its dimensions halved and produces false colors at contrasting edges. I'm going to put a better demosaicing algorithm in there, but will have to see how much higher output resolution will influence performance before making it the default.

@mariusor @mkljczk I think we would know it by now if that was how they approach it. It would be quite an undertaking and something to brag about loud.

@mariusor @mkljczk Ah okay. The emoticon made me suspicious but the fact that you linked to it convinced me otherwise. I think there's enough people out there who could genuinely mean it unaware of differences, so better to be cautious ;)

@mariusor @mkljczk I believe there's not a single well-supported phone in this family of SoCs (MediaTek Dimensity) so I don't know what makes you think this one will be an exception.

@mkljczk Librem 5? Though I'd rather recommend PureOS on it, pmOS isn't as focused and may lag with some hardware quirks handling (but then making it catch up is rather trivial compared to most other hardware).

PinePhone for a cebula option, but you'll feel that you had cebula'd with it.

From what I heard OnePlus 6/6T may be a sensible choice too if you're willing to give it some leeway, but I have no first-hand experience. A handful of others is apparently slowly catching up too.

@AAMfP @janvlug (to not be misleading, it was actually 18 years and I did carry an additional second-hand Android phone around 2017-19 when N900 got too old to act as a proper smartphone, so under ideal market conditions it would probably be 4 phones over that time actually)

@AAMfP @janvlug Out of curiosity, how often do you replace your phone?

I wonder if that's something where that "don't want to spend more than 200 €" comes from. Over the last 20 years I have only used GNU/Linux phones and they have all cost significantly more than that, but there were only three of them (plus some spare parts) so they may have actually been cheaper than the average overall.
