@improbite @wonziu Przecież Fairphone używa Androida.

(Sent from my Librem 5 😋)

@didek @thibaultamartin I don't even bother with NAS these days, my (mostly FLAC) collection is 130GB and I just rsync it to phone's SD card occasionally. I still have a small stash of CDs waiting to be ripped once I feel the need to grab something new. What I don't feel the need to do is to attach myself to some network service.

@aeva You don't, it's meant to have some non-trivial latency (and half of it likely comes from the client anyway).

If you *really* need low latency I'd rather use something like Jamulus instead, but that's harder to tune in and scales poorly with number of clients (its sub-50ms latencies make it possible to jam with people online though, which is fun).

@skrzyp Well, depends on your ambition 😜
If you ask for advice: make a shitty prototype in a week and see where it's going.

@cas yeah, depends on the client - waypipe's much better at pushing bitmaps around indeed

I believe I just spent a few hours debugging what turned out to be nothing more but rev 1 PSRAM cache errata 😫

@dragonarchitect @foone nah, it was more like: HDMI group developed HDMI alt-mode, nobody cared because it was late and much more awkward than DP alt-mode, it was dead on arrival and eventually even HDMI group itself abandoned it.

“The Chaos Computer Club supports the three hackers who explained in detail at 37C3 how the Polish rail vehicle manufacturer Newag had manipulated its trains in such a way that they could only be repaired in the company's own workshops. The manufacturer reacted to the publications with an attitude not seen since the 90s and sued the hackers under both criminal and civil law.

The CCC is calling for donations to cover the legal and other resulting costs incurred so far.”

@hailey But it makes perfect sense to use XWayland even just for X11 clients, it's the best supported X11 stack these days. There are even XWayland-only compositors out there.

For this use case, I'd probably just use cage.

@dragonarchitect @joepie91 Sorry, but when you choose to spend your personal resources on contributing to the commons, you're free to do it on your own terms and to tell people who want to see it done differently to do it themselves. You don't owe anyone anything. The worst that could happen is that your project will suffer due to your choices, but so be it. Your poor designs and missing features don't need addressing unless you feel like it, and if others disagree they can fork indeed.

Looks like the latest @phosh -rc brings in some nice eye candy improvements: visible background in the app overview, background transparency on the quick settings/notifications page, it almost feels like a christmas present! 😃️🌲️

Me and @agx took over the maintenance from @hadessuk a while back and this is our first release.
This release is packed with many nice features and bugfixes! If all turns out well, we will tag a final 3.6 release soon.
