@cantinto@eldritch.cafe checkout your library. They may have an ebook or audio book service where you can loan digital books.

@be Alpine Linux also has a good webpage for their packages

@talon @charlag @Mayana wow, reading that issue. I see why building for accessibility first is important. What a mess they got themselves into!

@grumpysmiffy I changed my master branch to devel and it's all fine with Gitlab. Does Github require it to be main?

@ParadeGrotesque @rysiek@mastodon.technology @alcinnz they can create a file manager to do everything they want. It'll just look like a cockpit and it'll be way harder to learn than bash.
I tried apps that batch files and they are always too much work to use and the skills don't translate anything else.

@blueberry @be how far back is old? Is the latest LTS version enough and to cover 98% of active systems?
(Chrome+Safari ๐Ÿ˜ฑ in web land)
Maybe for your project state what you are willing to support. Including up to the latest Arch build?

covid, vaccines, illness

@dsfgs computers are not making people trans. They felt their workplace and community was hostile to trans people and they did not come out. Now they feel safer and accepted they are publicly coming out.

@rysiek @colby Lonely Planet does this with their travel books. Each chapter is separate.

@devinprater@dragonscave.space @MadestMadness I'm new to coding and following your mastodon account has motivated me to want to work on accessibility. Even "big" projects have very few contributors with most people being users.

I used to just recycle, but since learning how few plastics actually get recycled, I've reduced my single-use plastic consumption by:

๐Ÿ‹ Switching to shampoo and conditioner bars instead of bottled, and from shower gel to bar soap (like we all used as kids)

๐ŸŸ Using glass containers and a set of stretchy silicone covers that fit over my bowls for leftovers instead of plastic wrap in the kitchen

๐ŸŒฑ Using reusable silicone bags instead of disposable plastic ones

๐Ÿข Bringing my own stainless steel bottle or cup if I'm getting a drink outside of my home

๐Ÿฆ€ Carrying a set of bamboo utensils for takeout (and choosing places with compostable takeout containers)

๐ŸŒŠ Using stainless steel straws or no straw instead of plastic

๐Ÿš Buying produce without wrapping (farmer's markets are great in summer) & bringing my own containers for spices in bulk

I'd like to give a ๐Ÿ‘Ž to Whole Foods, which sells in bulk but makes you use their plastic bag or container. Guess where I don't buy in bulk!

@Stoori the local people have a story for when the maar at Mount Gambier, SA formed 6000 years ago. Also, the culture from the mainland and Tasmania is very similar, even tho Tasmania separated 8000 years ago.

@devinprater@dragonscave.space in Australia we usually have the toilet separate to the rest of the bathroom in case there's a smell that'll block the room.

@be @pitermach @alcinnz callouts can be right place, right time. Having failure doesn't mean you should stop, just review the tactics. Especially for people who have been marginalised, it'll take more than one go. As Piotr said, they are out there.

@be @alcinnz If you put in the basics, even if the UX is terrible, potential users could experiment and give suggestions. Just show Mixxx is willing to listen and work with different requirements that still achieves the mission of Mixxx to allow 'all DJs' perform live music.
P.S. I've never DJed or used Mixxx
