#UNVERANTWORTBAR
I just added a new feature to NeoChat, a Kirigami based @matrix client. Now we have a fancy (but still simple) image editor build-in.

If you, for whatever reason, want to make sure your code does not get used by Google - license it under AGPL :) #LifeHack https://opensource.google/docs/using/agpl-policy/
@linmob Will still get the user banned from signal due to signals zero tolerance towards 3. party clients. I guess its time to use a less suspiciously un-open messenger.

Lastly, yes they sell dreams: I funded the development that made desktop Linux viable on phones. Phosh, Phoc and libhandy-based apps are now the most popular environment on the PinePhone also. Which is cheaper because it has cheaper/weaker hardware and they didn't develop much software.
I never spend more than 150 bucks on a phone before, but I viewed it as a necessary investment in the future. I'm happy I did 😎

You're missing the part that they spend millions for developing hard- and software. I happily backed the Librem 5. About a dozen developers, about 3 years.
The L5 also has many more discrete components than common phones, which makes the BOM (bill of materials) more expensive.
You also seem to vastly underestimate the difference between producing several thousand and millions of devices. The price could easily be halved if a million was produced.
The Free Software Foundation has published an "Ethical Tech Giving Guide" and suggest our #librem5 for their smartphone category!

Did you notice that the best working GUI on the Pinephone based on Phosh and used by Postmarket OS or Mobian is created by Purism? Do you really think that this would possible by community only? Also Libhandy is crated by Purism. Everyone that bought a Librem 5 also supports the Pinephone.
Maybe you should read a little bit more and then make the IQ test again ;)
