I find it quiet hard to get the focus right. Since the camera app is not complete, yet, the values for gain, exposure, balance and focus have to set manually.

Despite of this the pictures come out a lot better than I'd expect.

Ich musste mal wieder neue Ohren für die #Tonibox herstellen. Sie sind nicht so gut geworden, wie ich gehofft hatte, aber dafür jetzt mit einem Silikon mit einer größeren Härte gegossen. Die ersten selbstgemachten Ohren waren zu weich.

Jetzt brauche ich noch eine neue Form, um sie besser hinzubekommen.

This way the phone is usable like any #notebook. Performance is fine for most tasks. Didn't try things like #gimp, #libreoffice or #freecad, yet.

Didn't have to `root` the phone to get a root prompt or to dock it this way. It's just part of its functionality. Instead of `rooting` as way to use my device freely as I want and control my data I can now just alter open source software, program, improve.

Das erste Mal seit längerer Zeit, dass mir aufgefallen ist, dass der Himmel mit Kondensstreifen voll ist. Mag auch an der Wetterlage liegen, aber vielleicht auch daran, dass die Pandemie ja (für die Wirtschaft) vorbei ist.

The recipe said to support the edge of the cake by aluminium foil. I thought that would be a waste and aluminium needs a lot of energy when produced. Same effect can be achieved by potatoes.

The reply from #Eaton describes a broken reality:

"We cannot offer a repair. There are no spare parts or products in this price range nowadays. Most times one hour of work already is more expensive than a new device.

In this aspect products from other companies are not different from ours."

Sad. No #Repairability.

First time having a python prompt on an esp32. Playtime...

I'll ask them about an option to rescue the old ups from dumping and repairing it.

Furthermore I'm really interested in their opinion why I should decide - given my experience with their product and support - to buy a product from their company again.

If the error doesn't stop after disconnecting from power (didn't in my case) there is a technical defect.

Uhm, yes, I supposed so.

Furthermore: it is not possible to offer service or support for this device after its period of guarantee cost-efficiently.

Buying a new device would be the more economic solution.

Sustainability? Cost of disposing of the old device?

#OralB #Pulsonic started the second time in its lifetime to erratically stop during use.

First time I fixed it by reattaching the battery which is soldered directly to the pcb on one side.

This connection is the breaking point of the product: it is not designed to withstand vibrations or falls.

This time I additionally soldered a small wire from the battery to the connection point on the pcb - hoping the cables flexibility will withstand vibrations and falls.

"SE ECHA PLASTICO" - "man bringt Plastik an"

"PLASTICO ALEX" macht das auch, falls "VASILE" nicht kann.

Keiner sammelt das Plastik wieder ein.

Hier wird unser Gemüse unter Plastik gezogen. Paprika, Zucchini, Gurken, Tomaten, Auberginen. Alles unter Plastik.

Das Plastik muss alle 3-4 Jahre erneuert werden. Die brüchig gewordenen Reste sammeln Vasile und Alex nicht wieder ein.

An einem Geschäft, das die Plastikplanen anbietet habe ich eine Werbung gesehen: 42 Monate Garantie. Nach etwas mehr als 42 Monaten müssen die Planen all dieser Plastikgewächshäuser also erneuert werden. Überall die Reste: In Büschen, im Boden, in Fetzen am Strand.

Bei den Produktionsbedingungen soll der wiederverwendbare Beutel im Supermarkt sicherlich nur von der eigentlichen Umweltsünde ablenken: Den Bedingungen, unter denen das Sommergemüse für unseren Winter produziert wird.
