Experimenting with App State for Visual @PineTime Apps @PINE64 ... Do YOU understand this Visual Program? 🤔 (Ignore the #RustLang code)

@manjarolinux@botsin.space What about manjaro arm?

Looking forward to more progress in the Pinephone's software ecosystem. I can't say it's an amazing experience right now, but it sure is exciting!

I will be attending @fosdem. Find me at the KDE booth to talk about KDE Connect, Plasma Mobile, KDE Apps on Android and all things around it.

@PINE64 It appears that many people do not realize that this practically the first generation of modern linux phones. It's ridiculous to expect perfection at this stage.

Steam has refused to issue me a refund for Rocket League, after the developers announced they'd be dropping Linux support.

A recent article on a big tech news site included this phrase:

"[...] Linux phones like the PinePhone, [...]are full of closed-source firmware from non-open components"

We'd like to clear the record: The #PinePhone has two blobs -- neither runs on the main SoC: One loaded to WiFi/BT module, other enclosed within the cell modem. In the modern world of tech, both blobs are unavoidable.

For an overview from someone with deep knowledge of both the PinePhone and Librem 5: tuxphones.com/yet-another-libr

More worrying for me: what happens to the data if one of these DNA companies fold? It's a valuable asset they will be tempted (if not required) to sell. Think of the well-funded companies who would line up to buy it...

Ever wanted to develop apps for you phone using your favorite desktop tools and frameworks? This is how easy it is puri.sm/posts/easy-librem-5-ap

Just posting from a Librem 5 Birch and grabbing a screen shot.

@manjarolinux@botsin.space Something is up with the notification bell in the panel in that screenshot. Should be grey/black and match the rest of breeze icons, not yellow like that. That was a really old patch where it was still like that.

@agx What's the maximum resolution of an external screen that the Librem 5 will be able to support? And will it be able to support more than one external monitor?

The devkit driving it's internal panel via DSI and an external screen via HDMI at the same time.

@kde@mastodon.technology Good to see! Especially the wind indicator. Now i'll know when it's safe to bring my Plasma outside... Don't want it blowing away!

@manjarolinux@botsin.space We'll know what happened if some people receive scratched units ;)
