May as well do another introduction on my new account.

I'm Zack, a free software enthusiast and avid Rustecean. I've lived in five different countries, speek one and two halves languages (the halves don't add up because they are different langauges), and I've visited 21 different countries. I use KDE. I'm also an incoming freshmen at Worcester Polytechnic Institute this August

Another potential method (I didn't try it tho) use i3 or xmonad. The border patrol agent searching your laptop will be too confused to search effectively

Currently sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for a connecting flight. I flew in from Mexico City, and I was lucky enough not to be searched by Border Patrol. Here's what I think contributed to my success:

1) A full flight that arrived at the same time as another international flight, and the more people there are going through Customs, the more likely they're not going to search you

2) I handed the agent a US diplomatic passport. Pretty easy to get waved though if you're a fellow gov type

Okay, which of you wrote “trans rights are human rights” in the dirt on the wall of this tunnel? They also wrote “all cats are beautiful” so I know it was one of you.

hey, if you haven't yet, claim your $125 from the Equifax data breach settlement

literally seconds of entering your name and address results in a mailed check of $125 and helps make sure a corporation pays for their massive negligence

I found a website where not even the entire logo is visible through the thicket of ads and privacy notices!

Oh hey! Got my @purism 15 v4 today!

In ruling that Trump can't block people on Twitter, the 2nd Circuit said the First Amendment stands for the concept that "the best response to disfavored speech on matters of public concern is more speech, not less." We agree!

Gab already removed the Monthly Active Users counter from their frontpage (a default Mastodon feature). That's easier than faking active user numbers I suppose :polarbear:

Hola para todos, ahora estoy en Ciudad de México!

I find it very interesting that people on Mastodon seem to prefer showing their support by boosting something rather than favoring it.

I'm not sure what that says about us. Maybe that sharing really is caring.

Either way, I'm here for it. Keep up those boosts all you lovely people.
