@smallsco You can now tweak that with: Instance__ParallelTwitterRequests=2 or whatever
Just deployed a fix for bird.makeup, threads should now be properly replicated

@Tehhund You can use nitter for that: https://nitter.net/POTUS/rss
@dansup Thank you, I joined!
I'm trying to make my twitter federator work with pixelfed, for accounts such as @dog_rates . Pixelfed seems to reject those accounts, but they work with mastodon. Is there anything I should change on my end to make it work?
FYI, if still missing your #traffic, #wx etc #news from over there, check out this Bird Makeup by @vincent
Just drop in thar Twitter handle here 👉 https://bird.makeup/
Cut/paste the new generated handle into Mastodon’s “Explore” box and follow it. Easy peas;)
I’ve already created quite a few for #seattle #PNW-focused sites (eg, SDOT, High Country) and it works great! Thanks, Vincent!
Of course, no idea if it too will be snared by 🐦 ongoing cancel culture 🤷🏻♀️

I'm happy to share that we're gearing up to support Mastodon in @buffer *very* soon! 🎉
I'm keen to be thoughtful about how we support Mastodon through the product and as a company: this is a very special community and technology. So we'll also be all ears as we introduce Buffer support.
We're looking for Buffer users (can be a brand new user, too!) to help us with early testing of our Mastodon support, so if you want to try it, reply here!

Can’t even make this up
After stealing and losing investors, friends, and institutions capital via the 3AC scheme, the same crew is now launching a new exchange called “GTX”

@smallsco I think that's a good idea. There a lot of magic numbers like that I should move to env vars.
@lrz @doritc @thomasfuchs can I humbly suggest my projet bird.makeup? It’s a high-performance fork of birdsitelive that should replicate tweets within 20 minutes 😁
I don't want Mastodon to be a place where all I talk about is the continuing demise of Twitter, but...Twitter pulled the plug on all of the top third-party Twitter clients and Twitterrific's Craig Hockenberry has some things to say about it:
@tzeejay There are real time stats in the footer of the site. Currently 37 minutes to cycle through every twitter account
@SeoN8 Thank you!
For the tool it's possible to build it, and anyone can do so without having to change anything with bird.makeup. Personally I want to focus on scaling bird.makeup itself, so a tool like that would be quite low on my priorities, but if anyone wants to give it a go they are welcome to!
@bradthornborrow Thank you! I'm fetching tweets in a way that doesn't require their approval, so I feel pretty safe! 😇
