@bazurk@mastodon.social @blacklight447 @BlackWinnerYoshi @Tutanota Why not try GNOME Web, then? It seems to be getting better and better. More importantly, it isn't based on Chromium. While I can understand why some people may not want to use Firefox, I don't think using Chromium and it's derivatives are an ideal solution. While Mozilla may have its flaws, I doubt Google fares any better.

"We must do better than subjecting our students to surveillance and violations of their privacy."
@searoso This will likely not happen. Imagine having all of your Signal and WhatsApp messages stored in plain text on some server.... It kind of defeats the purpose of end-to-end encryption. Doesn't it? 🤔
Desktop and Phone Convergence

"The #librem5 is more than a phone, it’s a full desktop computer in your pocket designed to be just as mobile as you are."
@testman @Linux4Everyone@fosstodon.org @ubuntu It beats me.... I am also glad that this is happening and I hope this trend continues. What makes me even more happy is that Lenovo, as an OEM, seems to be not only just 'providing Linux' but also actively supporting the FOSS community as a whole. I do hope that more companies follow this example. Until then, I think we in the Linux and FOSS community have our work cut out for us.
@citizenK4te@norden.social @Tutanota Ich bin einverstanden.
@thelinuxEXP When I drive, I usually crash everywhere.... So, I can relate. 😂
@thelinuxEXP Thanks! I've been looking for a tutorial on how to use TimeShift.
@Tutanota Hold on a second! Let me go and grab a spoon.... 🥄 🍨 😄
@popey Will you still be on Mastodon? You could also join another instance.
@Linux4Everyone@fosstodon.org @librefree I hope it doesn't actually move away from this concept of being a distro for developers and other people who need access to the latest 'vanilla' GNOME technologies. Besides, we have plenty of distros with GNOME already.
@Linux4Everyone@fosstodon.org It's a really neat idea.... It might actually solve the problem mentioned here: https://www.techrepublic.com/article/why-linux-still-needs-a-flagship-distribution/.
@ONLYOFFICE I would love to see ONLYOFFICE also available on Linode as an app.
@purism This is awesome...! While I agree with adopting 'an open ecosystem of apps', there are some proprietary apps that I require to do some work. This makes it much more convenient to invest in a Librem 5 soon. I am really looking forward to this getting more streamlined.
