Apple Has No Tolerance For Webcam Covers

"When we designed our Librem 5 phone from scratch, we made sure to add and expand our hardware kill switches to that hardware... you can control your cameras and microphone, WiFi and Bluetooth, and even the cellular modem with kill switches."

@ONLYOFFICE This is a really great move. I still see a lot of developers using tarballs and other archaic methods to distribute packages for Linux. Hopefully, things will change more over time. Well done, anyway! ๐Ÿ‘

@tuxedocomputers @Linux4Everyone@fosstodon.org I took this screenshot on Linux Mint 19.3.

@ONLYOFFICE I installed OnlyOffice on Linux Mint via both Flathub and the Snap Store. It has a few issues that I mentioned in a previous toot. I hope it gets fixed.

@Linux4Everyone@fosstodon.org That's interesting.... The Snap Store was apparently already there when you switched to Linux. Were Flatpaks and AppImages also prominent at that time?

@omgubuntu I have a 1080p display but some sites still don't take advantage of all the horizontal 'real estate'. That is why I prefer to keep my browser 'windowed'.

@lunduke You should probably share the LBRY link rather than the YouTube link for your videos on Mastodon.

@popey Hey.... You are using Ubuntu MATE. Cool! Do you prefer MATE or GNOME better?

@leecifer @lunduke What's the difference between Locals and Patreon?

@RyuKurisu @Linux4Everyone@fosstodon.org Does the ThinkPad P53 even have a version with an AMD CPU? I didn't spot one on their site.

@Tutanota I was also wondering the same thing.... I agree with @nahepid284@mstdn.io. Your Mastodon profile would look much better with a cover image!

@Tutanota Thanks a lot! The system tray icon finally reappeared after updating Tutanota on Linux Mint 19.3. Great job, guys! It is appreciated. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ‘

@oros @Linux4Everyone@fosstodon.org I checked out its GitHub page. It seems that it is in a 'bug-fix only state'.

@rbrown @lasombra @purism I was pretty disappointed about this as well. Hopefully, we'll see some breakthroughs regarding this in the next few years.

@omgubuntu I am using a 'dumbphone' for now but I really want to get a Librem 5. Hopefully, I'll be able to grab one next year.

@purism Great job! I can't to see how Evergreen will look.

@Linux4Everyone@fosstodon.org For me, the most interesting part about this distro is the stripped-down assistant, 'Helloa'. It is an interesting concept and something I would like to see more of in other distros. However, I agree with you. I doubt this distro has long to live.

@dallin @lunduke Hey! You are pretty great yourself but I am still going to have the last Word on that pun. ๐Ÿ˜„

@torproject Unfortunately, I can't read the German language. I tried to translate it via DeepL but it only accepts .docx or .pptx files.
