@redoak @deneb but the spam is real issue in hands. And you're blaming someone else for some theoretical abuse, which does not happen yet. Hypothetical "however anyone wants". If you write something on the wall anyone can make a photo of it and photoshop it however they want. And public message is more or less writing on the wall.

@redoak @deneb let simplify it - any server supporting activitypub may abuse certain other server ToC, and for that there are user-level blocks and domain-level blocks for user and domain. I can setup a server which will be geenrating random user handling to send spam. And I'll quickly get ban for this. Tthat's pretty much it. Issue solved.

@deneb @redoak sorry Idon't understand this. Isn't the whole activitypub based on opt out? I.e. If you enabled federation you opted in for any server, and then you can opt-out federation to individual servers (ban domains)
