Nevermind... it's all installed now, but UEFI fracked me. I can't get it to friggin' boot!

I have finally discovered the secret to installing #Slackware on my m.2 drive. It was silly... after cfdisk, just type /dev/nvme0n1 and bada bing! Why have I been so silly my whole life? I was just too afraid of wiping my archive HDD by accident...

It is a really interesting perspective and history lesson on programming.

This is the Unix Philosophy according to Doug McIlroy (inventor of Unix pipes):

Write programs that do one thing and do it well.

AND

Write programs to work together.

(We sometimes forget that second part I think)

To my #Slackware friends out there, how cool would it be to have a set of stickers to adorn your laptops and cars and all manner of things with the Slackware logo and other things like that? Since the Slackware store is gone, you have to make your own. It is pretty cheap on Sticker Mule, but minimum order is 50 stickers for custom stickers.

I was thinking about even if there was a lot of interest, I could order like 500 and sell them for a little profit, then send that profit to Volkerding.

I wrote a little article about ASCIIDoc and how it has been a net benefit to my writing career. I hope you enjoy. It is a short article, so it shouldn't be a long read. Just a few thoughts.

I'm watching Merlin (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merlin_(2008_TV_series) for probably the 5th time and just realized that in almost every episode the Sutton Hoo helmet from Anglo-Saxon times appears in the background! How friggin' awesome is that???

— they asked me why I'm waiting until Nov to vote. I said, because I know who I'm voting for and they aren't on these ballots. They urged me to forget about those.candidates and just vote R or D. I told them that what they are doing is called electioneering and it will be reported.

A few moments later I hung up with the police only to have learned that what these people are doing is acceptable in the eyes of the law.

Now how's that for electioneering fun times?

I saw a sign today that says 'Vote Here!' I thought, wow! It's kind of early to be voting already. So I went in an talked to the ladies. Handed over my driver's license and began chatting.

Apparently this is early voting season. There's a caveat, however. You may only choose straight Dem tickets and straight Rep tickets. Nothing else. As it turns out, I am not voting for either. There is a Libertarian and an Independent running that I am voting for. So here's the kicker-
