Does anyone know if there exists a program that I can run locally on a Linux computer that will take a photo and replace a specified face with another face with the same expression?

Seems like it should be possible with deepfakes / animoji type stuff.

hey. hey fediverse. let’s play a game.

give me a number from 1 to 1528 and i’ll give you a weird old slang term from that page of “A Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English” by Eric Partridge, published 1971, but first compiled much earlier.

boosts encouraged! i’m excited, this book is so entertaining.

Dear @fsf, I'd want you to know that the majority of your audiences are not trying to stand out from the crowd but to fit in. Happy new year though!

, @huy_ngo, . BTW the few paragraphs I was writing in the last few weeks definitely need some reviews.

I recently got a new activity for procastination. So I'm having two international packages starting to be shipped within this holiday season, and it's been fun to watch them race with each other.

Hey people, here's a thing, stop making buildsystem. Yes, I'm talking to you!

In worst case use autotools, or write Makefiles manually, but stop making new buildsystems!

I'm sorry to disappoint you, @lupyuen, but that was the solution I found, not what I am able to implement IRL )-:

@lupyuen, I'm in +7 and the only solution I found is to never sleep. Some folks hae really awkward sleeping schedule regardless of their timezone.

With latest updates, GNOME Web (Epiphany) can play YouTube videos on the Librem 5, so you won't have to switch to Firefox to do that anymore. And you won't believe where the bug was located[1]! ;) Call `sudo apt install gstreamer1.0-libav` or wait a few days until it's installed by default with the next update and enjoy. @purism

[1] it was in glibc...

I just looked at the word "arrays" and it looked wrong, like I thought it should be "arraies"?!
