@nyanide
Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about! Nowadays wpa_supplicant can figure it out, though it used to require manual configuration in the past, so maybe "wpa(8)" does too 😁
@nyanide
You can configure your access point to use either CCMP or TKIP: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11i-2004#Protocol_operation
Nowadays on the client you don't have to set up either of them specifically, you only need SSID and the key, wpa_supplicant figures out the rest itself — but it might not always be the case and sometimes you have to try using each of them manually.
@nyanide
TKIP vs CCMP? 🤔
@Tony
Getting jiggly wit it!
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na-na-na! 🤪
FBI Statement Regarding Threats to Nominees and Appointees:

Hey, FBI, if you don't beam me up from Russia right now (for interrogation of course 😉), I will ask my friend Volodya to deworm the worm-man! 😤
Does this count as a threat? I hope it does, I tried really hard 🥺
@newt
Not judging of course — I also use it for things other than what I use Fedi for…
But, hey, that Tesla man is still pretty bad! 🤣
@iska
Take care, man, and get examined ASAP!
With the anxieties we're facing nearly daily you never know when this kind of thing might kick in.

But not sanctions only a lot of challenged have accumulated over time — some predate this round of war, take this state-sponsored mortgage that was implemented to support properky developers during COVID lockdowns. Budged spending on compensating mortgage rates much lower than the base rate set by the Central Band of Russia will only grow over time — this is going to become a huge problem in 2025 already and is bound to get even worse with time.

Yeah, foreign economists look at the numbers and those often look good — a lot of effort gets invested in making them look good. Under normal circumstances these numbers would indeed reflect the state of economy, so I can't blame them. Still, I don't get why they might think that economy that is deeply integrated into global one — and Russian economy is pretty far from being autonomous, depending both on import and export, might come unaffected.

Just noticed that in Void the package template for Firefox has build flag for dbus support, so it's possible to build it without it entirely.
I also have something named "fix-dbus-missing.patch" — I can't find that patch in void-packages anymore, but it did come from somewhere, I didn't write it myself.
So my Firefox might indeed be very different when it comes to dbus support.
@theorytoe @Tony
I'm feeling inspired to get some sleep 🤤
@romin
Back in the day when it didn't have DBMS included 🤪
@theorytoe
I am! Is it a sin?
None
Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
